8th SEEM: Turkey, Bulgaria lead abstract race

Turkey and host country Bulgaria led the abstracts race at the recently concluded EAU 8th South Eastern European Meeting held in Sofia from October 26 and 27. V. S. Mariyanovski and colleagues from Sofia, Bulgaria, won the first prize granted by Karl Storz for their study on renal biopsy.R. Altintas and his team from Malatya, Turkey, took the equivalent first prize from Richard Wolf for their research on the therapeutic effect of dexpanthenol on ischemia-reperfusion-induced renal injury in rats. Turkey took home two prizes, and host country Bulgaria duplicated the feat by winning Karl Storz’s first prize and the third prize from Richard Wolf.
