Exchange Australia

Each year in November the Urological Society of Australia & New Zealand (USANZ) organises a ‘Trainee Week’ in Australia. The programme may include some aspects of skills training (where available) together with the exam practice and interactive clinical sessions.

To be eligible to take part you must

  • be EAU Junior Membership (European urologists-in-training/residents)
  • be participant in the EUREP programma
  • provide your CV
  • provide a list of your PUBMED publications
  • provide a one page essay stating why you feel you are the best candidate to go
  • be able to travel in the indicated time frame

EUREP participants are invited to apply for one of the two places in this Trainee Week. Do not miss the chance to go ‘Down Under’ to hone your skills and benefit from updates in the various workshops, wet labs, didactic teaching sessions and exams, amongst others, scheduled for this programme.

All course fees, accommodation, economy class air travel to and from Australia will be paid for by the European Association of Urology (EAU). Prerequisite is EAU Junior Membership. USANZ will arrange for visits to nearby urological units, or where possible, for a further week.

The two selected participants are required to report back to the EAU and provide feedback on the methodology/content/exam style and value of the course they attended. USANZ will also evaluate and report their assessment of the visiting participants and how they performed in and contributed to the programme.

It is not yet possible to apply for this programme but keep an eye on this page! (around September)
