Call for Applications: Two Editors-in-Chief for EU Focus and EU Oncology

The European Association of Urology (EAU) and Elsevier are seeking applicants for the two available positions of Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of European Urology Focus and of European Urology Oncology. European Urology Oncology is a new sister journal to European Urology, European Urology Supplements and the recently launched European Urology Focus, and is an official publication of the EAU.

The EIC leads the editorial team of each respective journal, works together with the Editor-in-Chief of European Urology and is responsible for soliciting manuscripts and actively promoting the journal. Both positions require the applicant to be an active scientist of high regard in the respective field, as well as management and communication skills.

European Urology Focus

EU Focus was introduced in 2015 as a companion journal to European Urology. It publishes original articles, opinion piece editorials and topical reviews on a wide range of urological issues such as oncology, functional urology, reconstructive urology, laparoscopy, robotic surgery, endourology, female urology, andrology, paediatric urology and sexual medicine. The editorial team welcomes basic and translational research articles in the field of urological diseases.

European Urology Oncology

European Urology Oncology will publish original articles, opinion piece editorials and topical reviews on a wide range of issues relating to urological cancer. The journal will be a digital publication with 6 issues per annum expected in the first 3 years. The editorial team will welcome basic and translational articles in these fields from authors within and beyond Europe.

Applicants may submit a CV, a letter of motivation and a two-page proposal outlining their plans for the journal of their interest. Please send your application to the EAU Secretary-General, Prof. Chris Chapple, clearly indicating which position you are interested in. Please address any questions you might have to Prof. James Catto, Editor-in-Chief of European Urology. The deadline for applications is 15 January, 2017.
