ORSI Trainee course

ORSI Academy offers a 5-Day Course in Robotic Urology for fellows, residents and surgeons with advanced robotic exposure who want to learn to perform a RARP independently and effectively. Proctored by top-experts Prof. Dr. Alex Mottrie & Dr. Stefano Puliatti, by live case observation, Hands-on, Simulation, Video, Cadaver and Lectures on-site.

As fellow of the ERUS Robotic Curriculum, this 5-day course is the mandatory kick-off and you can apply for a place through Ms. Ilse Grotenbreg (i.grotenbreg@uroweb.org).
For 2024 the following course weeks are scheduled:

  • 29 January - 2 February
  • 26 February - 1 March
  • 3 June - 7 June
  • 22 July - 26 July
  • 26 August - 30 August
  • 16 September - 20 September
  • 21 October - 25 October
  • 18 November - 22 November
  • 9 December - 13 December

Participants are anticipated to arrive on Sunday(eveing) and the course ends on Friday at 17:00 hrs..
Sponsored places are limited each year and will be assigned on a first-come-first-save basis and one fellow per ERUS host institute per year.

Costs

The ORSI Trainee Course costs € 10.000,- per participant of the ERUS Robotic Curriculum. This amount includes:

Course fee and Preparatory E-learning for hands-on (€ 6750,-)
PBP (video) evaluation + certificate
Travel, transfers & accommodation for the entire trainee week (up to a maximum of € 750,- per flight ticket, economy class only).

Of these costs € 7.000,- will be sponsored by ERUS and € 3.000,- (excl. VAT) will have to be paid by the participant.

After completion of the course, participants receive an ORSI Academy certificate of attendance.
After 3 months each participant is invited to send a video of a case, that will be blind reviewed by a panel of experts in order to receive an EAU certificate of excellence.

If you are not a fellow of the ERUS Robotic Curriculum, you can still enroll in this Robotic Skills Course, by applying directly through ORSI Academy.

Note: Applications are only accepted if there is a clear justification by the host centre Programme Director that a sufficient access to the robotic console in the host institution is granted. Moreover, a statutory declaration of the applicant is needed; confirming that he/she is enrolling into the structure of a formal CC ERUS Trainee.
