From live courses and masterclasses, to hands-on training and online education, the European School of Urology is continuously looking and developing new educational activities. With a team of 150 experts in various field of urology we help you to improve your knowledge and skills of urology.
What kind of activities does the European School of Urology offer?
Each year, a wide variety of ESU Lecture Courses are scheduled during the Annual EAU Congress, but also at EAU Section and Regional meetings. Also National Societies can apply to have an ESU Course integrated in their meetings programme.
Generally speaking, the Lecture Courses have a duration of two to three hours, are UEMS/EACCME accredited, and have a maximum of 100 participants. Taught by
world’s leading experts, many of them ESU faculty members, these successful post-graduate courses meet your needs to continue with your professional development.
A masterclass aims to provide a high-level training that will not only update but also equip urologists with specialise skills to meet future challenges. Thanks to a reliable and comprehensive programme you gain a deeper knowledge in specific sub-specialised fields like Female and functional reconstructive urology, Lasers or General urology.
Certified urologists with a serious interest in developing a certain subspecialty are encouraged to join. During the masterclass qualified participants
also have the opportunity to apply for a EUSP (European Urological Scholarship Programme) observer fellowship in one of these centres.
State-of-the-art lectures and case discussions ensure critical updates of urological science and clinical practice during the ESU events. One of EAU’s oldest and most established scientific and educational initiatives is The European Urology Forum, organised by the ESU.
The format of these kinds of events encourages an open discussion on both debatable issues and established patterns of
work, giving plenty of opportunity to think outside the box and to identify potential areas of significant clinical development.
The annual European Urology Residents Education Programme is one of the ESU’s flagship teaching programmes. It is offered exclusively for urological residents who are in their final year. The EUREP format provides a comprehensive update and overview of modern urological practice presented by a distinguished European faculty.
The full six-day course includes sessions that feature state-of-the-art lectures, interactive case discussions, videos, and test your knowledge segments.
Thanks to the popular hands-on training sessions, EUREP has since become a much-expanded and not-to-be-missed intensive course for the next generation of urologists.
Access to quality education is a top priority of the European School of Urology. The ESU offers you the tools to keep up at anytime, anywhere and via any device. Several e-courses and webinars in different fields of urology are available via uroweb and UROsource, giving you the flexibility to work on your continuous professional development at a time that suits you best.
Courses on EAU Education Online are prepared by urologists from all over Europe, supported by the e-learning specialists of the EAU, delivering high standard,
up-to-date courses. All accredited courses comply with the EU-ACME and UEMS/EACCME guidelines for e-learning.
The ESU constantly seeks new approaches to enhancing learning of the surgical skills that are crucial to clinical practice. We have developed innovate and effective Hands-on-Training (HOT) programmes, in partnership with the EAU Sections, which offer practice and development of individual skills.
With 2 online curriculums we enable you to prepare online for HOT courses in the field of laparascopy (E-BLUS programme) and robotic urology (E-BRUS programme). These HOT courses are generally organised
at the EAU Annual Congress, in conjunction with ESU events and at national societies meetings. Check out the Events Calendar to see when and where the HOT courses take place.
