Recording: Radical Cystectomy: the urologist nightmare!

Published Tue, 29 Sep 2020

DurationApprox. 60 – 90 minutes

Radical cystectomy is the established surgery for MIBC and for patients who fail conservative treatment in NMIBC. It is one of the most complex surgeries in urology and we have to be very careful in every step of the procedure: the excision of the bladder and nodes and the reconstruction of the urinary and intestinal tracts. This is why there are so many complications, the majority being Clavien 2 or less, but around 10-20% of surgeries have Clavien 3 complications.

It is not uncommon to have to deal with decisions related to an unexpected evolution during the in-hospital postoperative period or also when the patient is back home. In this webinar, how to diagnose and manage the most common nightmares in cystectomized patients will be presented.
