More than 18,000 urologists from Europe and beyond have already joined the European Urology-Accredited Continuing Medical Education (EU-ACME) programme including almost 4,000 EAU Junior Members. However, only 32% in 2009 actively collected CME/ CPD credit points.
Members of the EU-ACME programme are collecting the credit points to comply with the European Board of Urology-European Union of Medical Specialists (EBU/UEMS) regulations. The CME/CPD credit management system recommends obtaining a minimum of 300 credit points in five years consisting of 250 CME credits and 50 CPD credits.
The EU-ACME programme gives online access to the accounts allowing its members to collect and check the listed attended events at any time. Some members have already taken advantage of our online system and have sent to the EU-ACME office copies of documented proof of participation in an accredited event in 2010. The EU-ACME office will be collecting and registering participation in accredited events in 2010 until January 14, 2011.
Please send copies of documents, such as the certificate of attendance – if you were not registered through your EU-ACME card at the time of the meeting – written articles, text or copies of lectures delivered, etc. by e-mail, fax or regular post to us so we can update your account.
Also check your online account by logging in at www.eu-acme.org and find out if all accredited activities you have attended are listed under your name. Make sure your personal data are correct, so that the EU-ACME office can send your Credit Registry Report 2010 to the correct address!
