EAU Congress: A school of thought

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

The 29th Annual EAU Congress promises to offer a very robust framework of scientific knowledge and discussion, much of it in the form of updates and new research data, as well as the release of the latest recommendations by the EAU Guidelines Office. At the same time, this event is highly attractive for its education component, which focuses on hands-on and bedside evidence-based recommendations.

The European School of Urology, the Education Office of the EAU, will be organising its extensive series of courses to address this demand.

“We make sure the courses are of high educational value to the participants who have the opportunity to evaluate the course they attend.

Based on the evaluation we may restructure the course, or change the faculty or even withdraw it from the programme, said Prof. Hein Van Poppel, EAU Executive Member Education.

“We will be adding four new courses this year,” said Prof. Joan Palou, Chairman of the European School of Urology. “I would highly recommend to attend one these courses - “Focal treatment in prostate cancer”, “An introduction to social media: why is this important for urologists”, “Ultrasound in urology”, “Prostate cancer imaging”.
