EAU Represented and honoured at the 36th SIU Congress
The EAU is pleased to be represented at the 36th Congress of the Societé Internationale D’Urologie, which will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 20-23. Prof. Arnulf Stenzl, Chairman of the EAU’s Scientific Congress Committee will be presenting and chairing several sessions at the congress. Prof. Hendrik Van Poppel, EAU Adjunct Secretary General in charge of Education will receive the SIU Distinguished Career Award.
Prof. Stenzl will be part of the SIU Congress’s four-day scientific programme in different capacities. On Saturday, October 22nd he will deliver the EAU Lecture “How to Improve Transurethral Resection”. He will also (co-) chair the first Plenary Session (Friday, Testicular Cancer) and Instructional Course 11 (Sunday, Cystectomy, Orthotopic Neobladder).
Additionally, Prof. Stenzl is contributing to the daylong World Urological Oncology Federation Symposium on Thursday, presenting an observation and taking part in a debate.
Distinguished Career Award
Prof. Van Poppel will be honoured during the SIU Congress Opening Ceremony, starting at 17:15 on Thursday. He will receive a Distinguished Career Award, which marks the tenth occasion that these have been awarded. Last year, prize winners include Prof. Boccon-Gibod, Dr. Peter Gilling, Prof. Yinglu Guo and Dr. Alan Retik.
