Learning objectives
The aim of this e-course is to familiarise healthcare professionals with the role and application of Non-Technical Skills (NTS) in urology. Upon completion, learners will be able to:
- Define the main domains of NTS: situation awareness, decision making, communication, teamwork and leadership.
- Explain how each NTS domain supports safe, effective and coordinated surgical practice.
- Recognise the importance of NTS alongside technical skills in reducing errors and improving patient outcomes.
- Apply NTS principles in urological practice, including complex surgical and multidisciplinary settings.
- Reflect on personal and team performance in relation to NTS, and identify areas for improvement.
