Visiting Professor
Institutions in Europe can apply to this programme to receive support in hosting a leading European urologist as a visiting professor for 3-5 days.
Conditions
An institution can only apply to this programme once a year wherein its Chairman is responsible for the application. He/she must be an EAU member. There is no age limit for this type of visit.
An institution can submit a candidate for the visiting professor position. The candidate must be an EAU member and a leading European urologist from another country. He/she must be able to participate in the programme: give lectures, discuss clinical cases, interact with the staff (especially junior staff members), and operate on patients if needed.
How to apply
When you apply online, please include the following documents:
- Curricula Vitae of the applicant and the visiting professor
- Motivation letter of the institution
- Signed letter of acceptance from the visiting professor
- A detailed 3 to 5-day schedule of the visiting professor’s activities, signed by the applicant and the visiting professor

About the grant
A maximum grant of €1,500 is allocated for the travel, accommodation and meals of the visiting professor and no other. The host institution must provide receipts of the aforementioned expenses, and will receive the grant after the visit.
Important deadlines
Every year, there are 3 deadline dates when applying for the programme: 1st of January, 1st of May, and 1st of September.
Application review process
The EUSP Board will evaluate all applications and the outcome will be communicated to the applicants within 3 months after the application deadline. The EUSP Board’s decision is final and no further appeal will be accepted.
Report
The host institution is required to present a report within 1 month after the visit.
