EU’s Beating Cancer Plan
The EU Cancer Plan is an ambitious initiative which spans the full cancer pathway from prevention and early detection, to treatment and care and beyond, to survivorship and quality of life.
Before the EU cancer plan was published, we produced a White Paper on Prostate Cancer which gives concrete recommendations on how the EU can tackle Prostate Cancer.
Specifically we are aiming at having Prostate Cancer included in the review of the 2003 Cancer Screening Recommendations which will take place in 2022. This would mean that the European Commission would produce guidelines on early detection of Prostate Cancer that could guide all EU member states.
We also support patient organisations from all uro-cancers to highlight priorities and concerns for the EU Cancer Plan.
