Hands-on training (HOT) courses will be organised and offered for free at the upcoming 11th EAU Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU) which will be held in Prague from January 17 to 19, 2014.
To be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis, registration will be onsite for the four courses and admission will be limited since there are only four slots for each course for a total of 16 slots or participants each day. The limited number of participants is aimed to provide an optimal training setting.
Organised by the European School of Urology and the EAU Robotic Urology section (ERUS) the courses will employ training simulators and dedicated mentors for a 90-minute session. The training goals include refining hand dexterity and skills, an objective assessment of console performance and an introduction into core surgical procedures in robot-assisted surgery.
The workshops will take place on January 17 and 18, and participants will benefit from an individualised or one-on-one mentorship during the course.
