03 July 2020 By Loek Keizer

Editors are delighted with the newly released impact factors for the EAU’s journals. European Urology, its oldest and most widely cited journal jumps to an impact factor of 17.947 for 2019, marking a new high. This exceeds the previous record for the journal of 17.581 for 2017.

Its sister journal, European Urology Focus received its very first impact factor for 2019, starting off at 4.827. EU Focuswas introduced in 2015 to feature a wide range of topics and discussions not covered in European Urology, and it is now a valued journal in its own right.

Its ranking was determined after in 2019 EU Focus was accepted into the Clarivate Analytics Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), also known as SciSearch®, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition and Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine. Other recent additions to the EU family of journals are EU Oncology (2018) and EU Open Science (2020).

Speaking on behalf of the EU journals’ editors, Editor-in-Chief of European Urology Prof. James Catto was “delighted” with the jump and the new entry for EU Focus. “We are proud of the efforts made by the entire editorial team and our loyal authors and reviewers.”
