Orsi Academy contains state-of-the-art technology taught by an expert faculty. The training is built around proficiency-based progression methods, meaning every step of the training is driven by measurable performance, not just time spent. This methodology results in faster acquisition, greater confidence in the OR, and long-term surgical excellence. The overall concept is not to simply practise, but rather to progress with a purpose.

Participants train on advanced robotic platforms such as the da Vinci Xi, X, and SP (Intuitive), Hugo (Medtronic), and Toumai (MicroPort). Sessions are supported by real-time guidance from world-renowned robotic urologists. The simulation labs are built to replicate the real OR as closely as possible for maximum realism and minimal distractions.

What makes ORSI different: where innovation meets education

Orsi Academy is more than a training facility; it serves as a hub for ongoing surgical innovation. Its approach is rooted in evidence-based education, with structured curricula adapted to the participant’s level of experience, ranging from those just beginning their robotic training to more advanced surgeons looking to refine their techniques. Training combines both dry-lab and wet-lab options, enabling a gradual and comprehensive progression from basic console skills to full procedural simulations.

The Academy brings together surgeons from across the globe, creating an environment that encourages professional exchange and the development of long-lasting networks. Crucially, the training is firmly linked to clinical outcomes, with a clear focus on improving safety, efficiency and patient benefit in the operating theatre.

Long-lasting results

Participants typically leave the course with measurable improvements in robotic surgical skills and increased procedural confidence in key urological operations such as prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, and cystectomy. The training provides immediate, practical takeaways that can be applied directly in clinical practice, including strategies for port placement and techniques for managing intraoperative challenges.

As one participant of the 2024 Basic Skills Course noted, “Very practical approach, thanks to immediate feedback I was able to improve my skills in unexpectedly short time.”

Why join a course at Orsi Academy

The training offers a distinctive combination of wet-lab and robotic simulation, alongside individual mentoring from experienced robotic urologists. All programmes are internationally accredited and recognised by professional bodies. The learning environment is designed to support the direct transfer of acquired skills into real-world surgical performance.
