Develop surgical confidence and technical excellence in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy through Urotrainer Academy’s 5‑week intensive remote simulation programme. Each trainee will receive their own simulator and complete a structured academic programme training from home. Expereinced instructors will facilitate and teach each session on the hgih-fidelity surgical training model.
What you will do:
- Join online lectures delivered by expert faculty, covering anatomy, oncologic safety (e.g. positive margins), functional outcome optimisation, and lymphadenectomy techniques.
- Participate in three dedicated hands‑on sessions, where you will perform two complete laparoscopic radical prostatectomies on hyper‑realistic 3D models. Key surgical steps include venous complex ligation, bladder neck preservation, pedicle dissection, neurovascular bundle sparing, and urethrovesical anastomosis (performed twice per model).
How it's delivered:
- Live proctorship via Zoom during the hands‑on sessions: surgeons provide real‑time feedback, demonstrate techniques, and guide you through all critical steps.
- Cadaver‑free simulation with high‑fidelity models, plus online video resources and pre‑recorded tutorials to support prep and reinforcement.
What you’ll gain:
- A strong theoretical foundation in radical prostatectomy surgery.
- Developed technical laparoscopic skills you can apply directly in your clinical practice.
- Certificate of completion.
Requirements:
- Trainees must have basic laparoscopic skills
- Trainees must have a good level of English
