Organised by the European School of Urology, this UROwebinar will explore the evolving role of biomarkers in bladder cancer management. As the second addition to the webinar series “New frontiers in bladder cancer”, it will focus on how advances in biomarker research are supporting more precise diagnosis, risk stratification, and follow-up strategies.

The UROwebinar will begin by addressing the fundamental balance between sensitivity and specificity, including the role of tissue-based markers. The experts will examine the clinical application of urinary biomarkers in diagnosis, prognosis, and surveillance. In addition, they will discuss emerging blood-based approaches, with a particular focus on ctDNA in high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).

Through a case-based discussion, the UROwebinar will highlight the strengths and limitations of each approach, as well as their potential to support informed clinical decision-making.
