Training
The European School of Urology (ESU) offers a wide range of training opportunities to support the next generation of urologists. Through hands-on sessions, simulation, and structured learning pathways, ESU programmes aim to raise surgical standards and improve patient safety across Europe.
SiSE - Standardisation in Surgical Education
SiSE stands for Standardisation in Surgical Eduction and aims to develop innovate and effective Hands-on-Training (HOT) programme’s in urology. SiSE responds to the need for structured and standardised surgical training in urology, moving beyond the traditional "learning-by-watching" approach. Built on a foundation of international collaboration and educational research, the programme aims to improve patient safety by guiding urologists through measurable and replicable training pathways. Through simulation-based education and a certified trainer network, SiSE ensures that surgical competence is achieved in a consistent and evidence-based manner.
Curriculum
The SISE programme aims to develop innovate and effective Hands-on-Training (HOT) programme’s, which offer practice and development of individual skills. With surgical training, the goal is to produce a surgeon who is highly competent and confident in performing surgical procedures; and thereby mitigate the risks of complications.
