Management of bladder cancer increasingly requires multidisciplinary alignment as therapeutic complexity grows. Emerging immunotherapy and intravesical therapies; integration of biomarkers such as circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) for adjuvant decision-making; persistent variability in the timing of radical cystectomy and radiotherapy, underscore this need.
Through an examination of 3 challenging bladder cancer cases, this UROwebinar will address the following challenges:
- Uncertainty in sequencing emerging bladder-sparing options
- Under-utilisation of radiotherapy in multimodal treatment
- Delayed referral for radical cystectomy
- Variation in pathology interpretation and reporting
- Hesitation around early adoption of ctDNA-guided decision-making
- Fragmented communication in centres lacking a structured multidisciplinary team
