In this UROwebinar of the European School of Urology, the experts will provide the recommendations for diagnostic procedures for adrenal incidentalomas and discuss the exclusivity of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) surgery.
Frequently detected during imaging, adrenal incidentalomas occur in up to 10% of the elderly population, posing a growing diagnostic challenge in urological practice. The main diagnostic goal is to establish whether an adrenal mass is benign or malignant with the greatest possible certainty. The aim is to avoid overtreatment without missing relevant diseases, especially ACC. In localised ACC, surgery is the most important treatment.
As the incidence of malignancy in adrenal cysts is controversial, the UROwebinar will also present information from a multicentre study.
