E-course: Management of rare cancers: The example of metastatic penile cancers (from diagnostics to new therapies)

This e-course is aimed at urologists who treat and manage patients with metastatic penile cancer. Participants can expect crucial discussions on the recent advances in chemotherapy, factors predictive of the development of metastases, and recommendations for optimal surgery.

The esteemed faculty members will comprise of urologists and an oncologist. The urologists will provide novel updates on the risk assessment of metastases on the surgical specimen, while the oncologist will present the possibilities offered by immunotherapy and clinical trials. The viewpoint of urologists on lymphadenectomy will be discussed as well.


At the end of the e-course, participants will be able to answer the following questions:

  • Are there biomarkers that can be used to predict metastasis?
  • Is the use of sentinel lymph node biopsy recommended?
  • What information is useful for urologists when planning a lymphadenectomy?
