By the end of the session, the attendees will be able to:
- Identify common knowledge gaps and misconceptions about cystitis and UTIs among the general public.
- Recognise specific demographics—such as age groups and gender—that show lower awareness of UTI causes, symptoms, and prevention.
- Understand how antibiotic overuse, often driven by public misunderstanding, contributes to the growing challenge of antibiotic resistance.
- Appreciate the importance of public education, particularly for younger generations, in preventing infections and curbing resistance.
- Explore practical strategies for effectively communicating key UTI information to the public, including leveraging social media and other modern outreach channels.
This recording provides both the scientific insight and practical tools to enhance public understanding, helping healthcare professionals contribute to infection prevention and responsible antibiotic use.
