This year’s session will comprise the following three demanding cases selected for their diagnostic and therapeutic complexity:
1. An unusual presentation of invasive nested variant urothelial carcinoma in a young patient with a high surgical risk;
2. Severe postoperative complication following transurethral resection of a bladder tumour (TURBT) and single immediate intravesical chemotherapy; and
3. A recurrent low-grade bladder tumour that progressed to a high-grade disease despite repeated resections and intravesical therapy.
Each patient case illustrates key decision-making moments; from diagnosis to treatment planning and follow-up. The panel of experts will explore the reasoning behind the management choices, discuss possible alternatives, and reflect on lessons learned from these challenging real-life situations.
The recording aims to provide practical insights into navigating challenging bladder cancer cases to optimise patient outcomes through multidisciplinary strategies.
