About 2.4% of women will experience rUTIs. The first step in preventing rUTIs is to identify any predisposing factors. The second step involves non-antimicrobial measures.

This e-course will review the available evidence on various non-antibiotic measures, including topical oestrogen treatment, American cranberry extract, D-mannose, probiotics, immunoactive prophylaxis, and intravesical instillations containing hyaluronic acid.
