The diagnosis of incidental small renal masses is constantly increasing. The issue of pre-treatment diagnosis and histological characterisation of these lesions has become increasingly important for a proper clinical management, which includes the selection of patients for non-surgical therapy and the tailoring of the surgical approach. Furthermore, the histological diagnosis is crucial for the identification of the best suited systemic treatment in the setting of advanced/metastatic disease.

This e-course aims to highlight the current evidence and role of traditional imaging, modern molecular imaging, and percutaneous renal tumour biopsy to achieve these goals.

Speakers:

  • Prof. A. Volpe (IT)
  • Prof. H. Thoeny (CH)
  • Dr. N. Singla (US)
