The costs involved in the management of urinary incontinence are very high and due to cultural reasons many women do not seek for medical advice. A general policy of EU to declare urinary incontinence as a serious health problem in Europe is still lacking. However, important progresses in the management of female urinary incontinence have been made with clear implications in the guideline recommendations. Cutting-edge information for the treatment of female urinary incontinence will be discussed in this e-course.
