The immunologically “cold” tumour microenvironment of prostate cancer (PCa) has historically limited the effectiveness of immune-based therapies, prompting the development of novel strategies to harness antitumour immunity. Among these, T-cell engagers represent a particularly promising approach, redirecting T-cells against cancer cells by simultaneously targeting the CD3 receptor on T-cells and specific tumour-associated antigens.
This UROwebinar will discuss the biological rationale for immunotherapy in PCa, the current evidence and limitations, and the potential of T-cell engagers and other novel immune-based approaches to reshape the treatment landscape of advanced disease.
