E-course: What will urology look like if the predictions of the O`Neill report come true? What the urologist needs to know about antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship

This e-course will explore the latest technologies and standards for identifying pathogens and measuring resistance or susceptibility, and know more about the key principles (e.g., resistance mechanisms, bacterial spread, etc.). Additionally, the experts will examine the challenges of biofilm and its impact on treatment.

The e-course will also cover the monitoring of antibiotic use at local and international levels, optimising empirical treatment duration, and addressing antibiotic use in food production and healthcare settings. Discover more about the treatment principles (e.g., the impact of antibiotic excretion, collateral effects, etc.) in this e-course.

The experts will also discuss the challenges of infection control, surgical procedures, and the risks to healthcare professionals. They will also examine innovative solutions, from rapid pathogen identification to novel treatment approaches.
