All-time record number of abstract and video submissions for EAU25
The EAU’s Scientific Congress Office is pleased to announce that 5745 poster and video abstracts were submitted for EAU25 in Madrid, a record in the 40 editions of the EAU’s Annual Congress. This included 5265 posters and 480 videos.
“This is a very encouraging signal as we work towards creating a successful scientific programme for 2025,” said SCO Chair Prof. Maarten Albersen. “A large number of submitted abstracts means we can pick the very best and draw up a comprehensive and interesting programme for our delegates. Our thanks go out to all submitters for their hard work!”
A quarter of the poster submissions addressed prostate cancer, and 16,5% for urothelial cancer. Other popular topics (11-9% of total submissions) were benign lower and upper urinary tract diseases, renal tumours and urolithiasis.
For videos, over a fifth were on the topic of urogenital reconstruction, closely followed by renal tumours. Other major topics were urothelial cancer, benign lower and upper urinary tract diseases and prostate cancer.
