EAU25: Important dates and abstract deadlines
The 40th Annual EAU Congress (EAU25) will take place in the vibrant city of Madrid, Spain, from 21 to 24 March 2025. Celebrating four decades of sharing research developments and innovations, as well as critical review of best practices to the urology community, the Annual EAU Congress brings together experts from around the world to advance the field of urology and patient care.
EAU25 will feature a comprehensive four-day programme, offering a range of learning and networking opportunities. Delegates can look forward to live surgeries, expert-led lectures, interactive patient discussions, and hands-on training courses provided by the European School of Urology (ESU). A major highlight will be the EAU25 exhibition, where attendees can explore cutting-edge technological advancements. This large-scale exhibition serves as a preview of the future industry standards, offering insight into the latest devices and technologies designed to transform urological care.
What’s new at EAU25?
To further increase the presence of urological research, the EAU Scientific Congress Office has developed the EAU Lab, a cutting-edge research hub for showcasing extended abstract presentations of both basic and translational research, as well as non-basic and non-translational. The EAU Lab will also host Expert Guided Poster Tour (EGPT) sessions, along with the joint meeting of EAU Section of Uropathology and EAU Section of Urological Research. Another exciting new feature this year to ensure a more inclusive experience for international delegates are the live translations available in 60 different languages for some scientific sessions. Delegates who attend the meeting in person, can either listen to translations via headphones or read subtitles in their preferred language via their own device.
EAU Secretary General Prof. Arnulf Stenzl (DE): "As the largest urological meeting on the European continent, EAU25 promises exciting breakthroughs across all urological subspecialties. With the addition of late-breaking presentations, cutting-edge developments will be revealed just weeks before the congress, giving delegates the opportunity to be among the first to take home the latest advancements in the field."
“Hot topics to be covered at EAU25 include the patient journey in surgery, technology and innovation, Male LUTS, biomarkers, functional urology, nightmares in endourology, onco-urology, paediatrics and more. These sessions promise to address the most pressing challenges and trends in modern urological care.”
Additionally, the EAU25 Congress offers other unique learning opportunities, via:
- Live surgery sessions on Saturday 22 March, showcasing cutting-edge surgical techniques and best practices
- YUORDay Saturday 22 March tailored for young urologists, including the annual EAU Guidelines Cup final
- Patient Day on Friday 21 March will bring together patients, healthcare professionals, and researchers to discuss important topics in urological care, including shared decision-making
