Record number of abstracts for EMUC
A record number of abstracts were submitted to the 4th European Multidisciplinary Meeting on Urological Cancers (EMUC) scheduled later this year from November 16 to 18 in Barcelona, Spain. The three-day meeting gathers specialists from across Europe and elsewhere to examine best practices and the latest advances that aim to boost multi-disciplinary efforts in the treatment of urological cancers.
Organisers received for review 171 papers from 33 countries with many coming from Italy, Spain, Russia, United Kingdom and the Netherlands, among others. A review committee will narrow the selection to provide a good balance and coverage of the major topics in urological cancers. Many studies dealt with prostate cancers although topics in renal cell carcinoma, bladder and testis cancers also attracted a fair share of the submissions.
During the meeting in Barcelona about a dozen will be selected for actual oral presentations, while the final overall selection will be published in a special online supplement accessible to all EMUC participants, European Urology subscribers and EAU members.
