The European School of Urology at the 28th Annual EAU Congress
The European School of Urology (ESU) organises a comprehensive post-graduate education programme during every annual congress of the European Association of Urology (EAU), and we are proud to continue this service keeping in mind the challenges and developments that make urology one of the most active and challenging medical disciplines.
In Milan we have carefully planned a range of interactive training and teaching courses to be led by some of the most prolific faculty members and forward-looking experts who will share with the participants not only the theoretical basis, but most importantly practical insights and updates resulting from the use of new technology and drug development, and evidence-based research and studies, among others.
Thirty-nine courses will be held from Saturday to Monday, March 16 to 18. Each course module will lasts from two to three hours and will accommodate around 125 participants. The programme will cover major urology specialties and topics such as advanced courses on upper tract laparoscopy, urethral stricture disease, reconstructive female urology, robot renal surgery, updates on onco-urology, andrology to transplantation, to name a few.
A new course this year is #39: Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy, chaired by Asst. Prof. Evangelos Liatsikos. The single course on vaginal surgery, as given last year, has been divided into two more specialised courses: advanced vaginal reconstruction (Course 21) and prolapse management and female pelvic floor problems (Course 6).
With many of the courses often fully booked or attracting advance registrations, we advise interested participants to register early to avoid long queues during the congress. Do send us your queries regarding this educational programme, which we hope will allow a dynamic exchange of expertise and ideas on some of urology’s most exciting challenges.
We look forward to meeting you in Milan!
