To achieve these goals, the Council focuses on advancing excellence in both education and research. In education, it aims to develop and accredit a comprehensive curriculum in uro-oncology and to establish a structured Clinical Fellowship Programme. In research, the Council promotes active participation in major European funding initiatives, supports the development of an EAU clinical trials unit, and seeks to engage the urological community through multidisciplinary events, disseminating and discussing the latest developments in GU oncology. In parallel, it is dedicated to establishing a clear governance structure and operational framework for the Council.
Through these strategic initiatives, the EAU GU Oncology Council contributes to shaping the future of uro-oncology and continuously improving outcomes for GU cancer patients.
