YAU Working Group Prostate Cancer
Who we are
The YAU Prostate Cancer working group is a team of urologists, already renown for their work in the field of Prostate Cancer. Currently, more than 30 members are part of the group. Whilst the majority of the members are urologists, the group also includes radiation oncologists, oncologists, radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, with multidisciplinarity, equity and diversity forming its backbone.
Mission
The mission of the YAU PCa working group is to advance the field of Prostate Cancer Cell Carcinoma, by fostering the power of collaboration across international centres worldwide.
The YAU PCa working group is actively contributing to PCa research (with more than 30 publications yearly). Collaborations with several Offices within the EAU is ongoing (e.g. EAU Guidelines, EAU Section of Oncological Urology, European School of Urology).
Key contemporary projects
- Systematic reviews and meta-analysis
- Design of prospective multicentre Registries (e.g. OLIGOMET registry)
- Investigation of new generation imaging in different stages of the disease
