Background

Paediatric Urology is a supraspecialty and an important part of urological education. It includes many congenital urological diseases, their reconstructive surgeries, minimally invasive treatments and also medical treatments. In addition; adolescent urology, stone disease in children and other developmental urological problems are treatment fields of paediatric urology. Although paediatric urology requires specific education and fellowship training, the numbers of paediatric urologists are limited and many adult urologists are treating paediatricurological diseases due to their regulations in their home countries. Hundreds of urologists during EAU Annual Congress are attending paediatric urology sessions such as thematic session, ESU courses, special YAU sessions and abstract sessions.
