EAU Section of Outpatient and Office Urology
The EAU Outpatient (EAU Section of Outpatient and Office Urology) aims to address core issues that affect and interest urologists who predominantly treat outpatients as part of their professional profile. This field of urological work has been somewhat underrepresented in European urology until recently.
Background / who we are
The EAU Section of Outpatient and Office Urology was formed to focus on the specific needs and challenges faced by urologists who primarily treat outpatients. This subspecialty encompasses a variety of urological practices, including diagnostic procedures, medical treatments, and minimally invasive interventions performed outside the traditional hospital setting. Historically, outpatient urology had been underrepresented on the global urology map. The experts in this section are diverse, consisting of self-employed urologists, academic urologists, those employed by medical centers, and those who balance both roles. Their collective expertise and experience are crucial for advancing outpatient urology practices.
