EAU Working Group on Paediatric Urology
The EAU Working Group on Paediatric Urology (EWPU) is a dedicated platform where urologists interested in paediatric urology can meet and exchange knowledge and experience. Paediatric urology is a supraspecialty and an important part of urological education. Many congenital urological diseases and also transitional urology as well as technology are important focus points of the EWPU.
Who we are
EWPU was founded in October 2020 with the main goal of creating a platform inside the EAU for paediatric urologists and adult urologists who treat children in their daily practice. The Board members consist of different paediatric urology groups in the EAU. The chairman is a Scientific Congress Office member. Two representatives come from the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU), two representatives from the EAU Paediatric Urology Guideline Panel, two representatives from EAU-YAU Paediatric Urology and two representatives from abstract reviewers. Associate members also contribute to the working group by joining different scientific projects.
For whom?
The working group is for everyone who are willing to collaborate in paediatric urology. Although paediatric urology requires specific education and fellowship training, the number of paediatric urologists is limited and many adult urologists are treating paediatric urological diseases due to regulations in their home countries. This working group is an excellent platform to create ideas and run projects in the field of paediatric urology. If you want to become an associate member you can apply with this link.

Our activities
We coordinate the paediatric urology activities within the EAU and cooperate with the ESPU. We organise thematic and abstract sessions at the Annual EAU Congress. We collaborate with the European School of Urology in organising courses dedicated to paediatric urology. We work together with the associate members and EAU Young Academic Urologists and plan multi-centre trials by bringing young urologists and experts together in the same platform. We organize ESU Webinars, podcasts, patient information videos and international meetings.
