This recording will focus on the retroperitoneoscopy in children, a technique which was highly developed and used by Prof. A. El Ghoneimi (FR) and his team.
The aims of this recording are:
- to describe the access in case of retroperitoneal laparoscopy and robotic-assisted retroperitoneoscopy.
- to discuss its advantages over transperitoneal access in children.
- to focus on this technique in case of ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) repair in children by retroperitoneal laparoscopy or by robotic-assisted retroperitoneoscopy.
- to explain indications, outcomes and limitations.
