The gold standard treatment for ureteropelvic junction obstruction is dismembered pyeloplasty. With some delay compared to adult urology, minimally invasive surgery methods have gained popularity in the last two decades in pediatric urology as well.

In this e-course, we will focus in detail on the technical aspects of laparoscopic transperitoneal pyeloplasty. We will discuss the different options for accessing the kidney, technical options for less standard and common cases (flap pyeloplasty, vascular hitch) and drainage options. New possibilities brought by robotic surgery will also be discussed.
