A checklist that starts with the preoperative patient assessment, moves to pre-procedure setting (e.g. anaesthesiology, patient positioning), instrumentation choice and careful cystoscopic evaluation will be introduced by Prof. Mariappan. Prof. Burger will discuss the technical aspects of a standard (piecemeal) procedure which will include how to handle special situations (e.g. large tumours, difficult locations). The perioperative and postoperative part of the TURBT checklist, with special emphasis on sample collection/sending and postoperative care, will then be completed by Prof. Mariappan. Finally, a summary of EAU Guidelines recommendation on TURBT and a Q&A with Prof. Gontero and the presenters will conclude the meeting.
