Call for Applications: Editor-in-Chief of the new European Urology Endourology and Innovation journal
The European Association of Urology (EAU) and Elsevier are inviting applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the new European Urology Endourology and Innovation journal.
This new journal will be launched as a sister journal to European Urology, alongside European Urology Focus, European Urology Oncology, and European Urology Open Science. It will provide a dedicated platform to high-quality clinical, basic and translational research addressing developments in endourology, artificial intelligence (AI), novel imaging modalities, biomarkers, real-world data and other emerging technologies in urology.
Published digitally six times per year, the journal will welcome contributions from authors both within and beyond Europe. The scope will include original research articles, opinion pieces, editorials, reviews, correspondence and surgical videos.
Editor-in-Chief role
The EIC will set editorial policy, maintain high standards of scientific quality and integrity, and develop the journal’s position and visibility within the urological community. The role will also involve building a strong and diverse editorial team, developing initiatives that support the journal’s focus on innovation and emerging technologies, and engaging leading researchers and practitioners as authors, reviewers and editors.
The successful candidate will work closely with the EICs of European Urology and its sister journals, as well as the EAU Executive Committee, Editorial Office and Elsevier, to establish and achieve the journal’s strategic objectives.

- A curriculum vitae
- A personal Statement of Interest outlining relevant experience and understanding of the position
- A current Disclosure/Conflict of Interest Statement
- A five-year strategic plan addressing the areas outlined in the Call for Applications
