Andrology & Reconstructive
Because of the diverse reconstructive techniques, delicate anatomical structures, and procedure-specific risks inherent to andrology and reconstructive surgery, structured hands-on training is essential for developing safe and reproducible surgical skills. Depending on the procedure, this may involve work on synthetic models, cadaveric tissue, virtual or augmented simulators, or step-based skills labs designed to mirror real operative challenges.
The EAU Working Group on Andrology & Reconstructive Surgery is currently developing a comprehensive structured curriculum, with an initial focus on inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) surgery.
